For a September 2023 start
Hours: 40 hours per week, 7:30am – 3:30pm, Monday to Friday plus some evenings and weekends during term-time, including INSET days and occasional training days. You will accrue the statutory entitlement of paid holiday, currently 5.6 weeks, which must be taken during holiday periods.
Salary: £12.60 per hour (£20,966.40 per annum pro-rata)
Contract: Permanent, Term Time Only (36 weeks, salaried for 41.6 weeks and paid in 12 equal monthly instalments).
We are seeking a lively individual to become a Kitchen Porter in the Catering Department. You will be providing assistance to the Chef Manager, and bring energy, enthusiasm and motivation. These qualities are essential as this role can be physical as well as carry an element of lone working.
You will need to comply with all regulations relating to cleanliness, hygiene, health and safety within a kitchen and storage setting (including COSHH) and ensure that these are adhered to in line with regulations. You must also make sure that you personally are protected, and ensure that protective equipment provided is worn as advised. This role provides an opportunity for career progression and to undertake qualifications for the right candidate.
