Gorilla & Lamb has already secured its place as one of the best go-to burger joints within the food scene of Cambridge. Using only the finest and most local ingredients our head chef has created an innovative and mouthwatering take on the traditional burger and fried chicken.
We are now looking for an experienced Kitchen Porter/ Assistant to join our rapidly expanding team just off Mill Road in Cambridge.
The successful candidate will need to have experience in working as part of a busy team in a fast-paced environment. They must be able to assist the chefs in day to day preps and keep the kitchen to a high standard.
Job Duties:
- Cleaning and sterilising countertops, kitchen walls, stoves, ovens, grills and sinks
- Cleaning the kitchen once it is closed to ensure it is ready for the next day
- Maintaining the food storage areas like freezers and refrigerators
- Receiving deliveries and organising them in the kitchen
- Washing dirty dishes like cutlery, pots, cutting boards and pans or loading dishes into the dishwasher
- Removing kitchen waste from waste containers and disposing of them properly
- Cleaning and maintaining cooking equipment like cookers, pots and food mixers
- Supporting the Chef in basic food preparation like cutting ingredients, peeling and washing food items
- Providing assistance to Prep Cooks and other kitchen staff, as needed
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £25,000.00-£27,000.00 per year
