Role summary
As the Kitchen Porter, you’ll be the support the kitchen team with overall responsibility and countability for the cleanliness of the kitchen and everything that comes in and goes out of it. You’ll be working with the kitchen in partnership with the front of house team to ensure our customers are amazed by their experience at our venue. Your skills and experience will show your team how integral your role is to the success of the venue deliver an outstanding customer experiences again and again.
Key elements of the role will include:
- Keeping the kitchen clean, tidy, safe and hygienic in line with venue operating procedures.
- Washing cutlery, pots, pans and dishes, both by dishwasher and by hand, and put the clean items away
- Sweep and mop the floors during service and at the end of a shift
- Help with deliveries for the kitchen
- Assisting with weekly cleaning tasks in accordance with EHO Compliance
You’ll need a high work ethic and a ‘can do’ attitude, be calm under pressure, have a huge passion for what you do, love a busy kitchen, and have fun when working. You’ll also need to have a proven experience of working at a similar level and be able perform to the highest standards exceeding customer demands and expectations.
Skills and Experience
- Working understanding of relevant industry requirements such as HACCAP
- Experience of working in a similar environment in a face paced kitchen
- High work ethic
- Be a good communicator
- Work under own initiative and prioritise workloads without instruction
- Team player
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Zero hours contract
Part-time hours: 30-40 per week
Salary: £11.95 per hour
