Salary £24,300-£30,600 per annum

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Finance Accounts Payable Team. As a AP Senior Specialist you will play a key role in overseeing company purchase ledgers, payments to vendors and working with colleagues globally.
You will also take part in shaping finance processes for our newly combined Cambridge University Press & Assessment organization and Single ERP system.

The Role
- Working as a member of the Accounts Payable Team within the Finance Shared Service Centre, the primary purpose of the job is to ensure the prompt and accurate processing of payables documents and to make timely and accurate payments to payees in compliance with agreed payment terms.
- Assisting with all vendor payables ledgers totalling Approx. 10,000 invoices per month. Ensuring continuation of supply from vendors by paying to terms and assisting in resolving disputes and queries timely.
- Produces APOI reports and deals with priority vendors, ensure on time payments for all due open items.
- The role supports the AP Training for AP team, contingent workers and buyers
- The role supports UAT testing, system improvements and implementations.
- Reconcile Vendor statements and deals with queries.
- Reconcile Aged Creditor Reports
- Assist with raising pay run proposals
- Deal with emails and general administration
About you
- Experience is required of the Global Accounts Payable process working with multi ledgers and large volumes of transactions, dealing with complex tax code structures and banking legislation.
- This is a role with expertise required in the knowledge of legal & regulatory requirements for payment of different currencies abroad with the understanding of the implications and requirements for each country. This also requires a high level of awareness of fraud.
