We are a busy pub seeking experienced, confident, friendly kitchen porters to join our team.
- Be recognised as a valued team member in a fun and friendly environment.
- Previous experience in hospitality in a similar venue and a previous knowledge of a commercial kitchen is going to be helpful..
- Good communication skills are essential.
- Work along side the kitchen team to ensure service runs smoothly.
- Work along side the catering team ensuring that customer requests and dietary requirements are dealt with as needed.
- Washing dishes.
- You will need to be able to work in a fast paced environment.
- Responsible for keeping the catering team supplied with clean dishes
- You will also assist with keeping the wash up area clean and tidy.
- Assisting with cleaning duties as required in the kitchen, following legislation and regulations.
- Regular shifts
- Full time position would be 5/6 shifts per week (6-8hours shifts) and would include weekends
- Part time 3/4 evenings per week (4-9.30pm) and would include weekends
- Part time 3/days per week (10-4pm) and would include weekends
- Transport is essential due to our location.
- Accommodation can be offered with a full time position.
- A full time hire could be a live-in position.

INTERNAL: All Kitchen and Front of House Staff
EXTERNAL: Company representatives and deliveries
Position Purpose: To ensure all kitchen equipment, plates and work areas are kept clean in accordance with the Food Safety Act and Health and Safety Regulations.
Job Summary: We are looking for vibrant people to join our versatile team. As a vital member of the Kitchen Staff at the Bowgie, our Kitchen Porter must be motivated and able to work as part of the Kitchen team. Providing the kitchen with clean plates and equipment, assisting with the preparation of food and ensure the kitchen operates smoothly at all times. This staff member must be able to thrive in a dynamic, fast paced environment remaining friendly with all staff members, as well as effectively making use of quiet periods with their team. The Kitchen Porter must pay close attention to Food Safety and Hygiene and their personal presentation to provide job satisfaction for themselves and other members of the team.
Main Purpose of Job
· Washing plates and cutlery in the dishwasher
· Washing pots and pans
· Helping with food preparation
Main Duties and Responsibilities
· Work in accordance with the Food Safety Act and Health and Safety Regulations
· Assist with cleaning down after each service
· Maintain high presentation standards including clean uniform, minimal jewellery and clean and tidy nails and hair
· Prepare salad and veg
· Ensure all areas of the kitchen are clean
· Empty all kitchen/food waste bins
· Ensure backyard is neat and tidy, including recycling
· Report to Kitchen Lead at start and end of every shift
Rules and Procedures
· Comply with all food and beverage legislation and regulations
· Work in accordance with the Food Safety and Hygiene Act 2013
· Work in accordance with the COSHH Act 2002
Hours: 20+ hours Part Time
36+ hours Full Time

Salary: Up to £10.50 per hour
