Job description

The Good Salad is disrupting the food scene by offering fresh, tasty and fully customizable food options in the most efficient way possible. We are currently one of the top rated restaurants on all platforms.

We are opening a new location and looking to hire a manager.

The manager will be responsible for ensuring all back and (limited) front of the house activities are executed, maintaining The Good Salad’s quality, profitability and guest satisfaction goals.

This location will be take out only (no dine in).

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Prepare location for launch
  • Hire, manage and develop a brand new team of salad makers and customer facing staff
  • Continuous process improvement to maximize efficiency and throughput
  • Place timely food and packaging orders from internal production kitchen and external suppliers
  • Inventory counts and management
  • Meet food and labor cost targets
  • Maintain a high rating on online platforms (yelp, google business, delivery partners..etc)
  • Maintain facility cleanliness and sanitation to meet internal standards and public code requirements
  • Maintain quality control throughout the process, working closely with production kitchen on quality improvements and systems across the chain

The ideal candidate will have the following skills, characteristics and experiences:

  • ~5 years industry experience covering both front and back of the house
  • Comfortable with operating with autonomy and making decisions
  • Understanding of prime cost controls
  • Leadership: able to inspire and manage a variety of worker types and personalities
  • Attention to detail: Strives for perfection while keeping an eye on the big picture
  • Can work under pressure and juggle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Open minded and willing to consider opposing views and ideas
  • Continuous learning and staying up to date on latest industry technologies and trends
  • Treats everyone with respect and maintains our positive work culture
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Comfortable with using technology and software (tech savvy)
  • Self motivated: will take this opportunity and run with it
