Job description
Cambridge - Permanent, full-time
The role
Designing a kitchen is like throwing a party…
You want to create the mood, get the ingredients right, make sure there is a flow of people, room to prepare and space to dine, drink and dance. After all, it’s the heartbeat of the home.
The perfect kitchen is one that suits a lifestyle. Our Designers think about how it will be used and who will be using it. Whether it’s the dream of reluctant gourmet or budding chef, or for a hungry family of four or convivial entertainment host, we design to reflect these differing requirements.
The magic doesn’t just come from great kitchen design alone, it’s borne into the bones of our cabinetry which is built using the finest materials and traditional carpentry techniques.
A skilled Neptune Kitchen Designer will:
- Provide exceptional service that becomes a hot topic of conversation around the dinner table
- Inspire, excite and support our customers from design concept to installation
- Create, present and exchange thoughts on designs, styles, colour and finishes
- Manage multiple projects ensuring seamless communication and coordination throughout
You’ll find Neptune Cambridge in the close-knit village of Harston, just outside the cultural and picturesque city. The building itself, the former Three Horseshoes inn, dates back to the early nineteenth century – though you’ll find a twist on it with a contemporary, architecturally-sympathetic building next door, joined by a glass walkway. We’ve also decorated it from top to toe with our signature, understated aesthetic.
You'll have an obsession for exceptional design and service with a knack for dealing with people. With previous design experience, you’ll have a strong working knowledge of CAD based design software supported by the ability to organise and prioritise.
We’re looking for someone with a natural warmth and friendliness and with a highly professional approach to business.
Neptune…improving the customer experience.
We’re fortunate to receive hundreds and hundreds of applications every week. You’ll never receive an automated response from us – it’s something we find too impersonal – and while we try to respond to every email, the sheer volume sometimes makes that difficult. So, if you don’t hear from us within 14 days, this means your applications hasn’t been successful, but we thank you very much for your interest in us.
