1. Purpose of the Job – State concisely the aim of the job.
- To provide excellent food service in all aspects of services provided to the client and Sodexo satisfaction in a safe, hygiene, clean and tidy environment for the production and service of food.
- To manage of the food preparation and the kitchen to help achieve budget and financial targets
- To assist in achieving highest levels of internal and external audits

4. Main assignments – Indicate the main activities / duties to be conducted in the job.
- To prepare, cook and serve all food items in line with the service offer and as per training
- To ensure that all food is prepared with due care and attention following recipe cards, particularly in regard to customers’ special dietary requirements: for example, the key 14 allergens and PPDS and calorific values
- Manage the quality and hygiene of the food cycle from delivery to service
- Be proactive in managing stock, reducing waste, and driving sales, ensuring all stock is ordered using order sheets and obtained from nominated suppliers
- Ensure that all equipment used is in safe working order and checked regularly. Report any faults to management and ensure they are rectified and ensure equipment is not used until safe.
- Put forward ideas for service, menu plans and regular and effective promotions and special days.
- Ensure all special functions are completed to the required standard of food and service and are also undertaken within pre-budgeted costs
- Hold daily briefings with the FSA
- Help control and monitor the financial performance of the unit and to maintain costs within pre-budgeted targets.
- Ensure all areas in Sodexo control are clean and hygienic at all times, ensure team carry out cleaning duties as per cleaning schedules or as directed
- To implement and maintain the statutory and company standards and records of hygiene, food safety and health and safety, company policies and procedures and take any action as is necessary.
- Comply with all Company and Client policies and procedures, statutory regulations relating to your workplace, this will include but not limited to fire; health and safety; food hygiene; working safely; COSHH.
- Complete all records as directed accurately and in timely manner
- Ensure that all equipment, monies and the overall establishment is safe and secure at all times.
- To attend a PDR with your line manager and to agree and take ownership of your PDR and your training and development needs.
- Attend company training courses and meetings as requested.
- To continually drive towards service excellence, customer satisfaction and delivering innovation in all areas.
- To support and promote the implementation of all new Sodexo initiatives
- Support manager with any reasonable request as requested

- Comply with all Company & Client policies, site rules and statutory regulations relating to Health & Safety, safe working practices, hygiene, cleanliness, fire and COSHH. This will include your awareness of any specific hazards in your workplace and training of staff
