What you will do
As a Kitchen Assistant with Ego your role is to support the kitchen during shifts. This could be by providing them with various ingredients, supplying clean cooking equipment and crockery needed for the dishes ordered. You will predominantly be cleaning dishes and will also be asked to help with food preparation. Once you have some experience you may also be asked to assist on the dessert section, this is your step into a chef role and can often lead to an opportunity for a Junior Chef position.
Kitchen Assistants also need to be able to clean down the pot-wash area and kitchen with great detail. The cleanliness of the kitchen is paramount and at the end of every night all areas of the kitchen and potwash need to be perfectly clean.
