Job description
We are seeking a Kitchen Assistant to join our team in the catering and hospitality industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized kitchen, assisting with food preparation, and ensuring that all food service areas are properly stocked and ready for use.
Duties:
- Assist with food preparation, including chopping vegetables, preparing meats, and making sauces
- Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas
- Set up banquet tables and assist with serving food
- Assist with inventory management by restocking supplies as needed
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines when handling food and kitchen equipment
- Perform other duties as assigned by the chef or kitchen manager
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant environment preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong communication skills to effectively work with other team members
- Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
