Our friendly team at Meallmore are looking for a Kitchen Assistant to join them in Crimond House Care Home.
Located in the quaint Northeast village of Crimond, Crimond House is a charming purpose-built nursing home providing high quality care to elderly clients, including those with dementia. We provide care for frail elderly people and also have a specialised on-site dementia wing to give an exceptional level of support to those living with this and other related conditions.
As a Kitchen Assistant, Meallmore will allocate you your own mentor, as well as a comprehensive induction process. But why stop there? Your role as a Meallmore Kitchen Assistant will include:
- Keeping the kitchen areas clean and tidy
- Supporting the catering team with basic food preparation as they create seasonal meals for our residents
- Properly cleaning and sanitising all food preparation areas according to established standards of hygiene
- Assist with specialist dietary requirements
- Serve nutritional meals
Required skills:
- Basic knowledge of food preparation
- Basic knowledge of food hygiene
- The ability to stand for extended periods.
- The ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- The ability to work in a team.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Effective communication skills

Salary: £10.50 per hour + benefits + overtime
Hours: 22.5 hours per week + Bank opportunities available
