Kitchen Assistant

We are conducing a beach clean and food sampling event at Brighton beach front from the 20th-22nd of August. We are looking for a general KP who can help us keep the place tidy and hygenic, assist the chef with tasks, and help with general work required by the brand/kitchen.

Cooking will take place out doors and food is in sample format.

Duties:
- Assist in food preparation and cooking under the direction of the head chef or kitchen manager
- Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas
- Wash, peel, and chop vegetables and fruits
- Measure and mix ingredients for recipes
- Assist in plating and garnishing dishes
- Receive and store food supplies and ingredients
- Maintain inventory of kitchen supplies and notify management when items need to be restocked
- Follow all health and safety regulations in the kitchen

Requirements:
- Previous experience working in a kitchen or food service environment is a must
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Excellent time management skills to ensure tasks are completed efficiently
- Ability to work well as part of a team and communicate effectively with coworkers
- Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices, i.e. Level 2 food safety

Note: This position is specifically for catering services.

Job Types: Temp to perm, Freelance, Zero hours contract
Contract length: 3 days

Salary: £13.00 per hour

• 8 hour shift

• Brighton, BN2 1ET (preferred)

Work Location: In person
