Kitchen Assistant
JOB OVERVIEW
Our diner’s demand great food with amazing service and a warm atmosphere. It is for you as a member of our team to deliver these exacting standards with the key aim of retaining and attracting new customers.
With an American “smokehouse” menu to set taste buds alight you must be able to consistently prepare and serve all dishes to meet our high standards working in a tight-knit team in an exciting fast moving environment. This is an opportunity to cook real fresh food rather than “heating” pre made food.
We are looking for bright, fun and bubbly personalities to add flavour, flair and fun to everything we do at Huckleberry’s
PERSON SPECIFICATION
Confidence, enthusiasm, professionalism and common sense are a must to work at Huckleberry’s. You must be able to work unsupervised in a busy environment as well as being able to work as part of a team. Experience is preferable but not essential as we will give you the training you need. All we ask is that you have an eagerness to learn.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
You must:
Have proof of right to work in the UK
Have a UK bank account in your own name
Be able to converse in English
Have a fixed place of residence within a reasonable travelling distance of your main workplace
RESPONSIBLE TO
General Manager and Kitchen Manager
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
To represent the company’s high standards of personal presentation and behaviour at all times during a shift
To report for duty, punctually, wearing the correct uniform
Always adhere to the company’s policies and procedures
Prepare, cook present and serve food quickly and efficiently meeting our high standards
Work safely around the kitchen equipment and report any maintenance issues to the Kitchen Manager
Complete all appropriate company documentation and key tasks on every shift
To ensure that a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness is maintained to meet hygiene regulations by following cleaning routines and on-going diligence during the shift and in set up and close down procedures
To have a thorough knowledge of and adherence to the law with regard to the following company regulations;
Health & Safety Regulations
Food Handling & Hygiene Laws
Fire Regulations and Procedures
First Aid Procedures
To bring a positive attitude to teamwork, contributing to the smooth running of the restaurant and interacting productively with the other departments of the restaurant.
To carry out any other reasonable duty that may be requested by the management team
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 15 per week
Salary: £10.00 per hour
