We are looking for a kitchen assistant to join our Fazenda team! Although experience is great, it isn’t essential as full training will be given. Our kitchen assistants are responsible for preparing our hot side dishes, vegetarian, vegan, and pescatarian dishes, as well as our desserts and looking after our Market Table.

The role - Kitchen Assistant/Chef
As a rodizio restaurant, the role of the Kitchen Assistant/Chef differs from the traditional setup. Our meats are prepared and cooked in a separate grill section, whilst the kitchen team take responsibility for creating cold dishes for the self service Market Table, as well as hot side dishes, desserts and vegetarian options for our guests.
Main duties include:
Keeping the Market Table well stocked up and beautifully presented throughout service- Creating attractive homemade desserts to order
- Preparing vegetarian, vegan and pescatarian dishes to order
- Maintaining guest areas around the Market Table and back of house areas
- Ensuring high quality standards are upheld at all times, from receiving deliveries of ingredients to presenting finished dishes/sides to guests
- Working and communicating effectively within the kitchen team and with front of house team members
- Completing due diligence and ensuring full compliance with relevant health and safety and food safety regulations
