We are looking for a passionate Kitchen Assistant to be part of an exceptional team within our modern, purpose-built care home. We are working hard to become the leading residential care group in the South of England. We need an equally dedicated Kitchen Assistant for our Oakdale in Poole to join us on the journey.
Your new Kitchen Assistant role:
As a Kitchen Assistant, you will assist in the preparation of meals for the enjoyment of residents. Food is freshly prepared on site by the Kitchen team, and supplies are sourced locally. Under the supervision of the Head Chef, you will help to prepare the homemade meals and snacks, ensuring dietary requirements and soft palate diets are adhered to at all times.
Our Kitchen team plays a crucial role in ensuring visitors, residents and families all receive a positive impression of our homes. A big part of this is the preparation and presentation of meals for residents and their loved ones. You will ensure that all kitchen areas are clean and hygienic and assist with other general kitchen duties.
Summary of duties:
- The preparation of meals under supervision of the Head Chef
- Ensuring the highest standards of the presentation of dishes
- Ensure dietary requirements of residents are always met by following their care plan
- Ensure the highest standards of hygiene are always observed within the kitchen
- Respect and maintain residents’ privacy and dignity
- Supporting the Kitchen team in a variety of duties
