The ideal candidate needs

- To have or be willing to complete a basic food hygiene certificate
Some food/catering knowledge is preferred
The Responsibilities
Supporting the team as instructed including:
- Processing dirty dishes, cutlery and equipment as per daily requirements
- Hand washing as required
- Ensuring maintenance of the dishwasher, correct use and cleaning in line with guidelines and Food Safety standards
- Ensuring stock levels are maintained for required chemicals and cleaning equipment
- Maintaining cleanliness of all kitchen areas including floors & surfaces
- Disposal of rubbish including emptying bins, correct disposal of boxes
- Deep cleaning of fridges, freezers, storage areas and any other areas as instructed by chef or manager
- Assisting with deliveries including accepting goods in, storage in line with Food Safety Policy
- Control and record wastage
- Undertaking routine & adhoc cleaning tasks to maintain the hygiene levels in the kitchen
Assist with table clearing and restocking crockery & cutlery when required
This list is not exhaustive; the candidate will be required to undertake some other duties to support the catering team as necessary
