Role Purpose:
Pay Rate: Real Living Wage - Minimum £11.00 per hour + holiday pay on top
Start Date: March or April 2024 - when we open our doors to Co-op Live!

As we gear up to opening our doors, we’re excited to announce we are looking for talented Kiosk Food staff members to follow direction from the Retail Catering Supervisors to deliver the best catering experience to all our fans within general admission areas. You will be a part of a talented and engaged team of colleagues who instinctively strive to exceed expectations, supporting us in creating the best live music experience in the UK.
Responsibilities:
- Provide a welcoming atmosphere to all guests.
- Ensure an exceptional standard of service to all customers at a fast efficient pace.
- Preparing the Kiosk areas for service.
- Assist in always keeping the catering units clean and tidy.
- Preparing and cooking food products in the kiosk kitchen areas ready for service.
- Serving food and drinks to customers over a counter where applicable.
- Stock control and rotation throughout service.
- Deal with colleague and customer requests and queries.
- Comply and complete any company paperwork as and when requested.
- Learn the menu offered to be able to provide full product knowledge to spectators and team members.
- Restocking all the fridges and cleaning down the kiosk/kitchen food areas at the end of the shift.
- Follow all food safety regulations when serving and handling food products.
- Attend mandatory and other training as required.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of and understanding of safety standards and ensure implementation.
- Deliver on environmentally friendly processes and procedures, energy use and waste management and ensure full implementation across your area.
- Deliver experiences which blow our competition out of the water and last long in the memory of our fans.
This is a casual role offering flexible shifts available around your other commitments - involves shifts at evenings and weekends

Essential
- Ability to communicate with employees, co-workers, volunteers, management staff and fans in a clear, professional, and courteous manner which fosters a positive, enthusiastic, and cooperative work environment.
- Ability to make sound operational decisions for a Kiosk area quickly and under pressure.
- Ability to speak, read, and write in English and appropriate maths skills.
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment.
- Problem-solving abilities.
- Passion and skills for retail catering, food preparation and for delivering great service.
- Possess thorough working knowledge of all applicable sanitation requirements, alcohol service policies, safety standards, etc. pertaining to OVG Hospitality and premium services operations.
- COSHH awareness training.
- Food Safety and Food Allergens knowledge.
- Ability to consistently adhere to the highest standards of integrity, professionalism, ethics, and confidentiality.
- Ability to work independently when required using own initiative.
- Well presented, friendly, approachable and with an eye for detail.
- As passionate about great service as we are.
- Have a high level of confidence and dedication.
- Perform well within a team, building and maintaining good relationships.
- Ability to adapt to different working environments.
- Ability to deal with customer requests and queries efficiently.

Desirable
- Food concession or retail catering experience of a food catering/concession area in a stadium, events arena, festival environment or equivalent fast-paced hospitality setting or volume-led environment.
- Food preparation and basic cooking experience, full training will be provided.
- Knowledge of Manchester’s culture, people and F&B high end hospitality scene preferred.
Due to licensing laws all applicants must be 18 or over.
