Job description
Overview
Bristol Reach are a new supported living company who are trying to do things differently. We understand the value and importance of frontline social care staff and we believe they should be properly recognised and rewarded for the value they bring.
We do not have aspirations to be a giant care company, we want to stay small and not lose sight of the important part of care and support work. We set up a house in Bedminster in August 2022 and after a successful 6 months, we’re looking at opening a new house.
We are looking for positive, proactive and compassionate people to join our team. Support experience is preferable but not essential.
We have full-time, part-time and bank positions available, with an hourly rate starting at £11.00 an hour (rising to £11.80 after probation) and sleep-ins at £75 a night.
If you're interested in finding out more, visit our website - www.bristolreach.co.uk
IMPORTANT: We are recruiting for a house that does not yet have an exact start date, though we expect it to be around the start of June 2023. As soon as we begin delivering support, all successful applicants will be offered the opportunity to sign either full or part time contracts depending on their preference, and we will of course keep in touch with anyone interested in working with us to keep you appraised of progress.
The Vacancy
The main focus of the Keyworker role is to organise and deliver meaningful support and activities for up to three service users living in a shared house in either Kingswood or Easton. A key focus is to engage individuals with their peers and the local community, helping to tackle social exclusion and loneliness, and to support the service users in maximising their independence through skill building and support to access volunteering, training and employment opportunities.
Keyworkers are encouraged to take on more responsibility than a typical support worker job, completing support plans, risk assessments and engaging the service users about the goals and outcomes they are looking to achieve while living in supported living.
