The largest independent Fabricator in the South-East for UPVC windows, doors, and conservatories. The successful candidate will develop relationships with existing as well as potential new customers. They will have the patience & tenacity to spend time visiting prospects & developing this relationship & creating the trust in the company’s product quality & service for the long term benefit of Whiteline. The aim is to create new partnerships & secure customers with long term potential. The role is focused on securing customers not securing orders. The ideal candidate will preferably have previous experience within the Double Glazing Industry, along with the ability and desire to sell the Whiteline service.

Location:

Although Whiteline is based in Eastbourne, the company currently services customers across the south east. We are looking for this Business Development role to expand our customer base & territory and so the successful candidate will ideally be located in order to cover Northwest of London - covering areas such as Coventry, Swindon, Hereford.

The role consists of:

  • Use of search facilities (including insight Data Fensa etc.) to search for and collate your own database to identify prospects.
  • Filter and research lists correctly to ensure they are the right type of target for our business.
  • Canvassing identified prospects in the form of a visit; cold calling companies, to try and gain initial interest for our products and services.
  • Follow up any cold calling in the form of telephone calls, postal marketing campaigns, and any other method you identify that will achieve a positive result.
  • Report on prospect pipelines to the Head of Sales accordingly.
  • Ensure visit reports are written up in a timely manner.
  • Identify target prospects and secure meetings, to be supported by Head of Sales when required.
  • Obtaining quotations for prospects and clients, liaising with the Processing Team.
  • Negotiating quotes with potential clients.
  • Develop & maintain high level of product knowledge.
  • An excellent level of written & verbal communication is required.
  • Visit existing customer database as required to ensure account management is adhered to.
  • Liaise with Customer Services Team as required to address any issues for existing or new customers.
  • Assisting Head of Sales with additional duties as/when required

  • Competent in communication by email as well as use of Word, Excel & Powerpoint.

Preferred skills:

  • Although training will be given, a good, basic knowledge of both PVCu and aluminium products would be an advantage.

The candidate must hold a clean driving licence

Core hours - 08.30 - 17.00 (with longer hours at times due to the travel & distance required as part of the role)

Salary - £40K plus 6 monthly performance based bonus.
