Are you seeking an exciting opportunity to work with a world leader in digital imaging, precision optics, and instrument technology? Our company is renowned for setting new standards in product design and performance. We are currently looking for a dynamic Key Account Manager to join our team, focused on driving territory sales through instrument (microscopy) sales, building strong customer relationships, and delivering exceptional service.
Position Details:
- Job Title: Key Account Manager
- Location: Field-based
- Salary: Up to £35,000 basic + subsistence (£1,260) and car allowances (£7,700)
- Commission: On-target commission of £10,000 - £20,000 per annum
Responsibilities:
- Achieve sales targets and net sales budgets, maximising sales performance
- Conduct instrument (microscopy) demonstrations to support sales efforts
- Develop and execute territory and customer sales strategies
- Cultivate and maintain long-term customer relationships, ensuring successful solution delivery and issue resolution
- Manage existing accounts while developing new business and growth strategies
- Maintain accurate opportunities within the CRM system
- Generate precise quotations and manage pricing approvals
Qualifications and Experience:
- MSc or PhD in Biosciences/Biophysics or a related subject
- Strong understanding of the laboratory environment, microscopy industry, and live-cell imaging biological applications
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience working with advanced light microscopy systems (e.g., confocal, super-resolution, high content, multiphoton)
- Familiarity with the UK science capital equipment market
- Proven ability to meet sales targets and deliver outstanding customer service
- Must live in Oxford
