Job description
As a Key Account Manager at the Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre (AMRC) you will join a recently formed, encouraging and vibrant Commercial Team, playing a fundamental role in facilitating high impact collaboration with some of the biggest names in UK manufacturing.
The role is based at AMRC North West (along with hybrid working), which is located at Blackburn next door to BAE Systems. Providing you with the opportunity to work with the AMRC teams In Sheffield, Rotherham and Wales as well as getting out and about regularly to visit your key account organisations.
We would encourage you to use your excellent interpersonal skills and your experience to develop strategic relationships and to build strong and lasting connections with a wide range of colleagues across the AMRC and within your key accounts.
We will welcome your ability to actively listen and to interpret complex and technical information, and to communicate information effectively will help you to assist your key account organisations to navigate the AMRC, to increase engagement with the Partnership programme, and to turn phenomenal ideas into projects by making connections to the right people and supporting them through the project scoping process.
Included with in the University of Sheffield, the AMRC is an industry focussed research centre, our aim is to 'make' things better by supporting manufacturers to work better, faster, cheaper and greener. We undertake research which Is directly relevant to manufacturing businesses.
Our Partnership scheme brings companies together to collaborate as well as providing governance to ensure the continued relevance of our work, as part of the commercial team we would value your contribution as an integral part of this. Being based at AMRC North West you will also be linked closely with the team there, whose work Includes projects about additive manufacture, 5G and sustainability.
This is an additional role to join 2.5 (fte) Key Account Managers in a growing team, with the aim of providing maximum benefit to all parties from the AMRC Partnership. You will be able to manage your own time in a role that offers variety and the opportunity to work with high value manufacturers and ground-breaking technology.
