Phs Besafe- Key Account Manager

Midlands

We have an exciting opportunity for a Key Account Manager at PHS Besafe based in the Midlands area. The role involves taking full responsibility for driving business expansion and retention across target market sectors with customers that have a national presence.

The core purpose of the role

  • To identify, negotiate and win contractual income from Major and Key Accounts. Contract values should be over £60,000 per annum.
  • To target and win contracts in PHS Besafe’s target market sectors, which are currently Rail, Aggregates, Transport, Automotive, Petro-Chemical, Utilities.
  • To identify target customers within these market sectors and make sure that PHS Besafe’s product and service offering is professionally presented in all prospecting and tendering opportunities.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of your allocated sector(s) to deliver and achieve new business targets with a proactive approach to customer account management, retention and growth.
  • To communicate target customer progress through the negotiation period to all relevant internal stake holders. To communicate a new contract action plan to Customer Support and Business Development Managers.
  • Close communication with all internal functions such as service depots, back office and warehouse teams is critical to ensure your new customer targeting is in-line with our operational capabilities and in consideration with depot routing priorities.
  • Create and maintain customer management plans for high revenue customers.
  • Respond to customer queries and resolve service complaints in a timely manner with the goal of increasing satisfaction and securing renewals.
  • Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to be reviewed with Head of Customer Support and maintained regularly to ensure they are in-line with current service requirements and expectations.
  • All activity including phone calls made, appointments made/attended and quotes raised must be recorded accordingly on Salesforce.

Key Tasks

  • Identify and contact National and Key Accounts as agreed with your HOS and MD
  • An effective presenter capable of delivering Besafe products, services and benefits to senior buyers and committees in major organisations and able to effectively use current technology in maximising presentation effectiveness
  • A sound negotiator able to maximise prices for PHS Besafe products and services whilst gauging and recommending pricing structures capable of winning the target contracts
  • Achieve your nominated sales targets
  • Effective communicator capable of planning and detailing an action plan for the Business Development Managers where a National listing requires local contract ‘sign up’
  • Liaise with Head of Customer Support to deliver precise reporting on Contractual KPIs
  • Schedule and attend regular major customer review meetings
  • Writing and presenting tender documents in association with the Tenders Team and HOS
  • Work with the laundry Depot Manager and staff to identify new business opportunities and route priorities
  • Manage your journey plan for each period to ensure that your new business and existing customer coverage achieves your target. Respond to deviations from the agreed plan immediately and effectively.

Skills and Knowledge Required

  • Clean driving licence
  • Appropriate level of IT skills for the Microsoft Office suite, ABS and Salesforce programme
  • Ability to communicate with groups and individuals both verbally and in writing
  • An industry professional with sound knowledge of company products and services
  • Commercially aware and able to understand financial information using it to help deliver profitable and sustainable business
  • Sound planning abilities
  • Thorough knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and its relevance to Besafe’s product and service offering
  • Ability to manage change effectively
  • High level of commitment and ability to work at a fast pace with a sense of urgency
  • A creative and strategic approach to Key Account Management
  • Knowledge of competitor activity
