We are looking to hire an Account Manager, responsible for building and strengthen shippers relationships to achieve long-term partnerships and taking inquiries and requests from customers and address their needs; as well as generating progress reports to give to customers and higher-ups within the organization. The successful candidate will analyze market data and will identify upsell, cross-sell, and renewal opportunities and communicate with the sales and other teams regularly.

This role sits within the Account Management team, part of Amazon Freight Commercial team. Focusing on growing existing relationships with our German shippers, the Account Manager is expected to build lasting relationships based on trust and ensure a smooth experience with the view to expand our clients share of wallet.

Alongside you’ll make sure we have the best relationship possible with our partners. You’ll build connections, help them put processes in place for efficient delivery, and smooth out any issues they experience, all with the aim of creating a partnership that’s successful for many years.

Key job responsibilities
  • Nurture and grow an existing portfolio of small/medium sized shippers and achieve volume goals with best-in-class service
  • Maintain a high level of engagement from our shippers through consultative account management, and proactively identify the challenges they are facing
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders across the portfolio as well as internally
  • Lead new commercial initiatives to solve customer pain points and improve shipper experience
  • Lead by example and coach other team members to ensure success as a team

  • Advanced degree
  • Relevant experience working in supply chain, freight industries or consultancy
  • Relevant experience of communicating with a wide range of stakeholders, including your peers and leadership
  • Relevant experience in using data or anecdotal evidence to influence business decisions
