Job description
We are looking for someone to help with day to day care of the dogs that stay with us.
We currently need someone to work Fridays and every 3rd weekend plus extra shifts over the summer.
Daily duties include
- Walking dogs on private land
- Taking dogs from owners and handing them over after stays
- Cleaning kennels, bowls, storage areas, general tidying
- Feeding
- Enrichment sessions with dogs
- Basic grooming and bathing
The right candidate will
- Have experience with different breeds of dog.
- Be hard working and work to a high standard.
- Be able to work as part of a team and alone.
- Be able to follow instructions.
- Enjoy working outside.
- Be willing to learn.
- Be punctual and reliable.
- Have there own transport
- Be very local due to split shifts
There is the possibility to help with training dogs after the probationary period, and lots of potential to further your knowledge and career.
This is a very active job, current team members will often do 30,000 steps in a day.
About us
We are a small family run business, who take in dogs for boarding and training as well as running group and 121 lessons. The owner of the business competes at top level in agility and local sheepdog trials.
We pride ourselves on giving exceptional care to the dogs that stay with us.
Number of hours – 8 – 24 hours per week
Working hours – 7am – 11am and 2pm – 6pm
Weekdays and weekends (candidates must be able to work weekends)
Pay – potential for increase after 6 month probation
16-17yo - £5.00ph
18 – 20yo - £7.00ph
21 and over - £10.00ph
Job Type: Part-time
Part-time hours: 8 - 24 per week
Salary: £10.00-£11.50 per hour

- Kenn, BS21 6TT: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Experience:
