Kennel Assistant
Full Time & Part Time positions to include some weekends
Kennel assistants required for a busy boarding kennels in North Kent. If you are passionate about dogs, resilient with a great sense of humour, have your own transport and flexibility to work weekends we would love to hear from you
The Role
· Cleaning dogs’ accommodation to a high standard
· Attending to each dog and their individual requirements
· Preparation of food, and required medication for individual dogs
· Performing daily observation & health checks
· Ensuring exercise/socialisation/wellbeing/grooming as required
· Advising any changes in behaviour/habits to on-site Manager
· Ability to follow instructions to update database/records/Manager
· Communication with other staff/veterinary practice/customers as required both face to face and telephone

What you will bring
· Previous experience with dogs in a professional capacity is preferred but not essential as full training will be given
· Ability to work in a fast paced ever changing busy environment
· Understanding of managing potentially stressful situations under pressure
· Ability to update records on a daily basis in an effective manager
· Great communication skills and the ability to work well within the team
· You will need a good level of fitness, as kennels is a hard physical role, in all weathers
· Own transport is essential we are not on a bus/train route

Part-time hours: 20-40 per week
Salary: £7.30-£10.26 per hour
