Job description
We are looking to employ an additional part time member of staff to work Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday afternoons 2pm until 6.15pm, 4hrs 15mins per day, and possibly a Sunday or alternate Sundays, which will be 8.30am until 11am and then 2pm until 6.15pm,6hrs 45mins per day.
The role will be to attend to the daily care and wellbeing of the animals boarding with us and attending doggy day care. This will include cleaning pens, feeding animals, playing with animals, supervising groups of dogs playing, walking dogs, ensuring all outside areas are kept clean and sanitary, and all other duties as necessary.
To carry out these duties you will need to be physically fit, energetic, and experienced with handling dogs of all different breeds and temperaments. You will need to be adaptable, good humoured, caring, hardworking, and a team player. You must also be prepared to work in all weathers as this is very much an outdoor job.
The ideal applicant will have previous experience of working with dogs in a similar role.
Please note that due to our location and the fact that if working a full day this will involve a split shift, you will need to have your own transport, and live within a 10 miles radius.
You will also need to have some customer facing experience as you will be required to speak to pet owners, take payments and operate a computerised diary system.
