So that their full potential can be achieved in a structured, measurable, and achievable manner which incorporates several key resilience domains to build confidence, self-esteem, and wellbeing.
The Opportunity
iAspire Care Services currently have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced support worker to join an expanding company, who specialises in Young People's services, dedicated to their safeguarding and preparing them as best as possible for their independent life .This is a great opportunity for someone who is self-motivated and passionate about making a difference in the lives of our young people. Key Responsibilities
- Ensure that all issues relating to the safeguarding of vulnerable children and/or adults are reported according to policies and procedures and in accordance with the safeguarding policy.
- Ensure that if there are significant changes to individual service users’ needs these are raised with the manager
- Ensure that all records are maintained in accordance iAspire Care policies and procedures.
- Conduct formal key work sessions with allocated young people and produce detailed reports for each session.
- Promote young people’s involvement in all areas including service delivery, quality assurance and organisational development. Communicate effectively (written and verbal) with both internal colleagues and external bodies alike.
- Engage with Young People, conducting key working sessions – supporting them with life skills such as cleaning, cooking, shopping, budgeting, time management, making appointment, building CV, applying for jobs/apprenticeships, Universal Credit etc. according to their support plans, risk assessments and weekly reports
- Liaise with professionals, attend professional meetings and appointments with Young People
- Conduct activities with Young People; chair Residents Meetings, support in off-site meetings, general outings etc.
- Ensure the provision is considered as outstanding/good in the eyes of Local Authorities
- Day to day running of the provision ensuring it is kept clean and tidy (regular cleaning will be part of your duties)
- To act as an appropriate adult and role model to all young people and ensure that all records, daily logs, and all other records are completed and maintained fully up to date.
- Able to demonstrate an understanding of social, emotional and behavioural difficulties and how these may impact the lives of the young people that we support. (e.g complex mental health needs, Emotional well-being, Substance misuse
Applicants should have:
- Support & Residential Environment experience: 1 – 2 years (preferred)
- Working with Vulnerable & Complex Needs Young People experience: 1 – 2 years (preferred)
- Genuine commitment to working and supporting Young People to achieve their full potential
- Must have previous experience working with young people with a variety of needs
- Experienced in working with young people who display challenging behaviour.
- Must be confident to lone work (due to our Lone Working model set up) but also as part of a team – however full support is available at all time from Head Office (24/7)Must be able to manage a variety of situations
- Must have a can do attitude and be passionate about working with young people
- Must be able to inspire and encourage young people to engage in all aspects of daily living.
- Must be an empowering, approachable and resilient worker.

- Must remain Professional at all times
- Must have a flexible work approach and to undertake duties during the day, in the evenings, weekends, and sleep ins as and when required (based on monthly rotas) – including bank holiday or public holidays
- Must be highly proficient in the use of IT and MS Office
- Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and bank holidays
Licence/Certification:
- Enhanced DBS certificate (Required) - DBS UPDATED SERVICE ESSENTIAL
- NVQ Level 2/3 Health & Social Care (Required) or be willing to start this course with this role
- ·Driving Licence (desirable)
Pay
£11.05 per hour
£40.00 per sleep in

Recruitment Process
At iAspire care Services we are committed to the safeguarding of all children and young people in our care. During the recruitment process you will be expected to complete an application form and all essential documents to ensure we capture essential information to meet legislation, best practice and vetting requirements.
Applicants will ideally already be on the DBS Update Service; if this is not the case iAspire will carry out a DBS (police) check prior to starting.
We advise to apply as soon as possible as applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis.
