Friars Farm Kennels & Cattery is based in Fordham Colchester and require a Kennel and Cattery assistant
The suitable applicant must have a genuine passion for working with dogs and cats and be confident around all breeds, experience would be preferable, you would be expected to carry out all duties including:-
Cleaning Kennels & Catteries, Feeding Dogs and Cats, Administering Medication, Answering Telephone and taking bookings, Greeting customers and dealing with arrivals/departures of our guests. Be able to work in a team and alone, would need to be flexible with regards to working shifts.
Due to our location applicants would need own transport and live within a reasonable commuting distance due to split shifts.
Hours - 36 hours per week including Bank Holidays and Weekends. Regular hours arranged but flexibility would be required at times.
4 hour shifts 8am - 12 noon & 3pm - 7pm
Paid holidays
Please only apply if you are committed to animal care, have good social skills to deal with customers both by telephone and in person. You would be expected to work during the Christmas and Easter period and holidays cannot be taken during our busiest periods i.e any school holidays. Further information to be provided at interview
