Job description

An exciting opportunity is available to become part of the coronial team within Derby Coroner’s Court. The role of Jury Usher is a public facing professional role to supervise a jury during the course of an inquest. The role requires excellent communication, organisation and the ability to work under pressure. You will take instruction directly from the Coroner and Coroner’s Officer to ensure suitable support for the jury members and participants of the inquest.

The suitable candidate will require basic IT skill to be able to set up and run hybrid inquests using the court Microsoft Teams system along with working with electronic documents and hard copies of disclosure bundles.

Provisional Interview Date: Week commencing 3 April 2023.
