As a UX/UI Web Designer at Pixable, you will play a crucial role in designing and delivering intuitive, visually appealing, and user-centered websites and apps. You will work closely with our product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless user experiences.
We are currently seeking a talented and passionate UX/UI Web Designer to join our growing team. If you are a recent graduate or a junior designer with a hunger to learn and grow as a professional, this role is perfect for you.
Responsibilities:
- Create and refine user-centric design concepts, wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes for web and mobile applications.
- Collaborate with product managers, developers, and other team members to define and implement innovative and feasible solutions for user interface design.
- Develop and maintain design guidelines, best practices, and standards to ensure consistency and coherence across different digital products.
- Curate bespoke content for each project, ensuring that it aligns with each client's needs.
- Conduct user research, usability testing, and competitor analysis to inform design decisions.
- Present and defend design concepts and deliverables to peers, stakeholders, and management.
- Keep up-to-date with the latest UX/UI trends, techniques, and technologies to ensure our designs remain fresh and relevant.
- Work closely with developers to ensure the successful implementation of design specifications.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of design documentation, such as style guides and pattern libraries.
- Contribute to a positive and creative team culture by actively participating in brainstorming sessions, design reviews, and team meetings.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.
- Experience (6 months to 1 year) in UX/UI design
- A portfolio demonstrating web and mobile application design.
- Proficiency in design and prototyping tools, such as Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Figma, InVision, or similar.
- Solid understanding of user-centered design principles, usability best practices, and current web and mobile design trends.
- Excellent visual design skills, with a keen eye for typography, color, layout, and branding.
- Ability to work effectively and collaboratively within a cross-functional team, as well as independently.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly articulate design concepts and rationale to stakeholders.
- Experience with responsive and adaptive design, as well as knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is beneficial, but not essential
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritise tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
