Position: Junior UAT Engineer
Location: New Milton, Hampshire UK
Salary: £20,000 pa
Hours of work: Monday to Friday 09:00 - 17:00( 35 hours)

We are on the look out for a skilled User Acceptance Test Engineer that understands the need to meet all functionality requirements for business client end-users of new applications. We require the successful person to possess a full understanding of testing protocols and design, and has the requisite experience in Information Technology and a broad technical knowledge base in addition to experience of working as a User Acceptance Test Engineer.

Main responsibilities:*
- Conduct user acceptance testing to ensure that developed systems satisfies the needs of business clients as specified in the functional and operational requirements
- Design, develop, and implement user acceptance testing protocols as the final phase of applications development
- Capture and test all modifications to proposed functional requirements
- Meet all project timelines and deadlines
- Document system / product functionality
Requirements:
- The successful candidate will be an ambitious junior tester or software testing engineer with a passion for IT and QA.
- Ideally you will have a solid grounding in software testing already
- Experience in deploying methodical testing to evaluate products and software quality against set criteria and identify issues
- Experience reporting issues in agreed format
- Experience tracking tickets and actioning as needed
- Experience conducting error investigations using exploratory testing techniques
- Knowledge and skills in defining acceptance criteria and test script design using common UAT formats
- Knowledge and skills developing test strategies and plans for UAT and FAT activities
- UAT experience
- Good organisation and planning skills
- Test execution of UAT and FAT acceptance criteria working with key stakeholder and business teams as required
- Working knowledge of IT based products.
- Defect management experience
- Attitude for analysing defect and test data to provide quality metrics and reports
- Detail oriented, logical mindset
- Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans, cases and progress reports
