The Impact You Will Have
Reporting to the Regional Head of Entertainment, you will work within the 7-strong Entertainment team and proactively support the Underwriter responsible for the Live Events portfolio: prepare underwriting processes, liaise with other functions to ensure timely/accurate policy administration. The development of commercial relationships with brokers and clients is also one of your main tasks.
- Develop and maintain peer relationships with brokers, clients and the Underwriting teams in the Region
- Underwriting of new and renewal accounts to meet top and bottom-line targets in line with underwriting strategy.
- Proactively prepare relevant underwriting information including client / market research and claims data
- Assist in the coordination of Natural Catastrophe reporting
- Ensure Underwriting compliance in line with LoB governance framework
- Assist in ensuring binding of FAC Reinsurance prior to policy inception
- Proactively work with other functions
- Assist in the management of broker facilities (checking / agreeing policy documentation, administration, tracking progression of policies, broker follow-up)
What You’ll Bring to the Role
- First experience in the insurance market, preferably in Underwriting
- Degree-level education or progress towards professional insurance qualification preferred
- Excellent communication skills
- Commercial acumen
- Analytical skills
- Good understanding of policy administration life cycle, information collection, policy issuance, premium bookings and credit control
- Basic understanding of legal and regulatory framework
- Proficient understanding of MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
