About the role:
As a Junior Energy Trader, you will join our trading team and experience a high-octane working environment. With our HQ located in Dubai, a bustling hub of commerce and innovation, you will have the opportunity to engage in a wide range of tasks within our rapidly expanding company. Guided by experienced Traders, you will receive invaluable mentorship and the chance to apply your skills in a supportive and collaborative setting, where your decisions will directly impact our bottom line.
This immersive programme includes a structured training curriculum and dedicated mentorship. We're invested in setting you up for success.
What you will be doing in the role:
- Engage in daily trading and optimization of our assets to maximize profitability.
- Manage trade settlements and nominations, ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Monitor market trends and conduct analysis to identify trading opportunities.
- Participate in our 24/7 shift rotation, ensuring comprehensive market coverage.
- Full PnL responsibility and ability to ideate and bring ideas to the forefront. Responsible for building trading tools to arbitrage discrepancies in the energy markets.
We are looking for individuals who:
- Hold a BSc/MSc in a numerical field such as economics, finance, mathematics, or statistics.
- Demonstrate outstanding analytical skills and a penchant for mental arithmetic.
- Possess a commercial mindset with strong entrepreneurial traits.
- Exhibit unwavering resilience and decision-making skills in a high-pressure environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Embrace autonomy while contributing as a strong team player. Knowledge of energy markets and proficient coding skills are highly desirable but not a requirement.
