Junior Technical Support (EMM Services)

Renovotec is the UK's fastest-growing barcode scanning and rugged mobile computer supplier supplying technology to all sectors of industry - Logistics, Automotive, Food, Ports, Construction, etc. throughout the world. Customers include Coca-Cola, Eddie Stobart, Morrison's, Jaguar Landrover, AO.com, and JD Sports amongst many others.

Due to a period of extended growth, we are currently recruiting for a Junior EMM Services Support Technician to join our specialist EMM (Enterprise Mobility Management) Technical Team. Training will be provided through a combination of self-paced learning, instructor led workshops and on the job learning, leading to industry recognised certification.

Based from our Newton le Willows office, you will be required to troubleshoot mobility and EMM related issues utilising a range of EMM solutions, provide best practice advice, and carry out deployments (updates) to device estates ranging from 10 to 10,000 devices through Renovotec’s change control processes.

Ultimately, you will need to be a team player with an excellent attention to detail.

Role and responsibilities

  • Phone, Email and Web Based issue handling (technical support)
  • Device support and management across Android, Windows, iOS and Linux using various EMM solutions
  • Software configuration, debugging and investigation
  • Lead technical investigations and drive resolutions where necessary with 3rd party providers
  • Attend and lead customer change review calls
  • Carry out deployments/changes in line with Renovotec change control
  • Monitoring and Maintenance of Windows Server 2016 and 2019 (Physical and Virtual)
  • Produce support and customer documentation
  • Work with multiple departments both internally and externally to ensure the delivery of high-quality projects on time and in full

Role Requirements

Professional

· Minimum 1 years’ customer facing support experience in a technical environment

· Customer-service oriented with a problem-solving attitude

Technical

Although training will be provided, knowledge/experience with any of the following would be advantageous:

§ Samsung Knox Suite

· Mobile Operating Systems such as:

§ Android

§ Windows Desktop (Windows 10 and 11)

§ Windows Mobile/CE

§ Apple (iOS & MAC)

· Barcode Scanning and Symbology

· Windows Server (2012, 2016, 2019)

· Microsoft MSSQL

· Virtualisation (VMWare Cloud Director)

· Telnet Applications and Configuration

· Wireless and Networking

· Printer Management

· JavaScript

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: Up to £24,000.00 per year
