Position Summary
We are looking for a computer programmer keen to use their skills to help maintain our established code base written in C# and SQL. You will be a focused individual, with an excellent problem solving ability, someone who can assimilate information quickly and use a methodical approach to investigate and fix complex issues. The code base is wide reaching and there will be plenty of opportunity to learn new skills and techniques to help resolve problems quickly.

A Day In a Life Typically Includes
The SLA team is involved in picking up escalated support issues raised by support teams which require focused diagnostic support and code investigations in order to identify possible bugs and remediate into current and supported branches.

The SLA team members will

• Work closely with experienced developers in the UK to build up knowledge of the components in supported versions of SFOL

• Develop, hone and share diagnostic skills in order to investigate escalated support issues on project build servers, customer test servers or potentially live servers

• Discuss with support, project and development peers findings and suggested resolutions

• Put in place workaround or remediations to resolve issues at customer sites in pragmatic fashion, and help build future proofing and robust fixes to be pulled into development streams

• Submit changes for code reviews and peer review others' code

• Cherry pick changes back to supported versions and assists support teams in deploying where required

• Monitor Teams channels to offer guidance and share knowledge in order to keep projects and customer system operating smoothly for fast resolution of issues

• SLA team members will engage in supporting many components of the Shop-floor-Online component suite …OPC suite

• Dashboard and report performance or data errors, with support from the database performance team where necessary (SQL, JSON)

• There may additionally be investigations in the front end system written in TypeScript.
