Although we are well established within our market, we are have a start up culture of collaboration and ingenuity. We’re now looking for a talented, hard-working Junior Software Developer to play a key role in project delivery and exceed our clients' expectations.
About You
This is a fantastic opportunity for a recent graduate and passionate coder to take their first step into a commercial development role. There are some attributes that we expect the successful candidate to have, and they’re listed below, but the key for us is to find someone who is bright, collaborative and intellectually curious and who wants to work hard on challenging problems.
The Day-to-Day
You’ll be developing software solutions for web crawling and reporting in Python and SQL to service some of the world's largest retailers and brands. Your work will support household names in setting their pricing strategy through data-driven decision making.
What We’re Looking For:
- Minimum 2:1 Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant subject (Computer Science, Maths, Physics etc.)
- Exceptional problem-solving ability and tenacity.
- Confident coding in Python.
- Strong work ethic.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
What Makes You Stand Out:
- A portfolio of previous work or GitHub account we can review
- Commercial software development experience
- Experience working with relational databases and SQL
- Experience writing software for web crawling
- E-Commerce experience
Salary
Up to £25,000/year (dependent on experience)
Location
This is a hybrid role, requiring 3 days per week in our Manchester City Centre HQ.
