As a Software Engineer within the Virtual Build & Test Domain, you'll develop software to support our engineering teams, and be part of the Engineering Operations Organisation which is JLR's centre of excellence for digital vehicle engineering.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
- Working as part of a scrum team responsible for the ecosystem of technology and processes with respect to Engineering Data for engineering validation
- The squad is responsible for hardware, software, process, methods, tools and more-to enable sharing, storage, and consumption of data; which is always up-to-date, and always available.
- On a day-to-day basis, you will work on maintaining and enhancing these tools as part of an agile team.
WHAT YOU-LL NEED
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Essential:
Individuals who can prioritise and manage their own workload. You will benefit from an interest in Data Quality, and you will need the ability to plan through problems as they arise. You will need experience in Data Pipelines, Data Transformation and creating tools for visualisation with a range of the following types of Data Processing.
Desirable:
Role will provide the candidate an opportunity to develop a wide range of skills relating from vehicle modelling and simulation to solving real-world engineering problems.
- Coding: Java, Python, JavaScript, C, C++ or MATLAB
- Database management
- Frameworks: Flask and React
- Git source code control and CI/CD
- Soft skills: Communication, organisation skills, teamworking
- Cloud Computing e.g., GCP, AWS
- Data visualisation and dashboarding e.g., Tableau
