Job description
Introduction
The successful candidate will work with clients and technical teams, to develop technical solutions to complex problems.
This would suit candidates who are looking for their first step into Design/Architecture and who have experience in Service Delivery, Service Operations or a Service Desk environment who want to be the one to make a change! Our client is looking for candidates to change!
This role is an excellent opportunity to get involved in projects across Defence, Aerospace, Government and Critical National Infrastructure.
This is a hybrid role with 2-3 days on site per week.
Key responsibilities
Please note this role is looking for junior candidates to train so you are not expected to do all of this work straight away!
- Supporting Service Design and Transition projects and programmes.
- Working closely with clients to identify their problems and the solutions that they need.
- Identifying and engaging with appropriate stakeholders to understand the complete service lifecycle.
- Designing service models for new and changing solutions, designing transition and coherent integration across multi-vendor ecosystems.
- Undertaking reviews of as-is services or in-flight projects.
- Capturing of full life costs and understanding the value chain.
- Influencing stakeholders to introduce appropriate best practice.
- Developing your own knowledge and understanding of service design and consulting skills.
Skills & experience
- Technical knowledge in Service Delivery, Service Operations or a Service Desk role.
- An interest and desire to work in a Service Design role and make changes!
- The ability to listen actively and advise clearly, exercising experience and help to solve common Service frustrations.
- Strong stakeholder communication and influencing ability is as equally important.
- Articulate with a passion for supporting and driving change.
- It is desirable to have experience in ITIL or SIAM environments but not essential.
