The majority of our projects follow the principals of Critical National Infrastructure and the International Ship and Port Facility Security (ISPS) Code. Our projects are a mix of commercial, public, governmental and defence.
We have a contract agreement with Autodesk for the use of their software and platforms, giving us the ability to access any Autodesk software.
What you will do as Security and Telecommunications Technician
In this versatile and dynamic role, you will create 3D models of Security and Telecommunications equipment to be located within the ports, shipyards and container terminals.
You will work together with other experts in global, multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver all the required graphic content of our projects.
Duties will include:
- Prepare designs for Security and Telecommunications systems, from initial concepts through to detailed designs.
- Collaborate with our engineers and continuously look for the best technical solutions.
- Develop 3D Revit family models in line with the project requirements.
- Develop 3D Revit models in line with the project requirements.
- Use data to enhance the 3D Revit project models for our clients.
- Provide support and promote the use of tools such as Autodesk documents across our projects.
Location
The role will be based in one of our UK offices but will be hybrid in nature, incorporating office and home working. We are flexible with regard location for the right candidate.
Our key Maritime offices are: Newcastle, Exeter, Brighton, Edinburgh, London, Peterborough, Leeds and Liverpool.
As our team is spread across the UK, travel between offices will be required along with occasional travel to client offices in the UK and abroad.
This role might be right for you if you have:
- Looking to develop within a global consultancy design team
- Have 1-2 years of Revit experience within a similar industry
- Have 1-2 years of AutoCAD experience within a similar industry
- Good interpersonal skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication, organisational, analytical and time management skills
- Experience in standard Microsoft packages: Words, Excel, etc.
