Full Time Edinburgh, Scotland 23000 GBP ANNUAL Today
Job description

Are you good with clients and thinking about that next move?

As a key part of our scaling and growth, we have opened an exciting role within our Portfolio Management team for an enthusiastic, pro-active Junior Relationship Manager. If you love the thought of helping and supporting small business owners, and making a difference to the lives of small businesses and their owners, this is the role for you! Your focus will be the proactive management of our borrower portfolio – supporting borrowers in managing their loan, focusing on borrowers who present additional risk to LendingCrowd, managing borrower in-life events and reviews, and ensuring that communications strike a balance between treating customers fairly and improving the health of the LendingCrowd portfolio. As our loan book grows, so will your opportunities. We have the funding in place to lend more to SMEs in the next 12 months than we have in the previous eight years!

Your key responsibilities will be:-

- Provide a service to borrowers to assist in managing their loan (Early repayments, new lending, forbearance, payment queries, general enquiries).

- Proactive management of borrower queries and monitoring alerts.

- Complete borrower reviews on an annual basis, or as part of the in-life events process.

- Manage borrower communications to assist with the collection of overdue repayments.

- Manage the defaulted borrowers process and liaise with the Recoveries team.

- Manage and conduct outbound communication campaigns to meet marketing or operational goals.

· Managing the process of customer complaints.

· Ensure company records are kept up to date, in line with LendingCrowd’s contractual and regulatory obligations.

· Participate in the delivery of management information for customer related activities.

· Provide assistance with Retail Lender Enquiries:

- Inbound enquiries to assist lenders in the management of their LendingCrowd account.

We would require candidates to have a minimum of one years’ experience in a financial services environment. In terms of skills and experience, we would expect you to display the following:

  • Driven to provide quality output as part of a high performing team within a volume environment.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and support colleagues in the portfolio management team to support our borrowers and retail lenders.
  • Experience of working within a regulated financial services environment.
  • Experience of proactively managing a portfolio of customers within a financial services business.
  • Confident to liaise with borrowers at different levels.
  • Confidence to interrogate and provide decisions on in-life events under own delegated lending authority.

You might also have the following experience:-

· Experience of completing and analysing credit reference agency reports for SME borrowers and business owners.

· Experience of conducting and completing Anti Money Laundering and Know Your Customer checks on SME borrowers.

· Ability to analyse and interpret financial statements provided by SMEs.

LendingCrowd is on a mission to change the way small businesses borrow money to invest, recover and grow. Blending the latest cutting-edge technology with financial experience and backing, we have developed a scalable lending platform that provides an attractive alternative to the current limitations of business borrowing – last year we signed a funding partnership with Barclays PLC and another large global investment organisation to lend £100m to small businesses across Britain. It’s an exciting time to join us!

We’re looking for a dynamic person with a growth mindset to join our Portfolio Management team – it’s a fast-paced environment where you are helping small business owners each and every day. You will receive a competitive salary, full training and you’ll be joining a true Scottish success story as we take the business to a different level, with the added benefit of huge development and career opportunities.

Founded in 2014 and born out of Edinburgh’s vibrant and growing fintech scene, LendingCrowd has driven over £150m in lending to small businesses, including a significant share of lending to businesses in Scotland. LendingCrowd is positioned to become the trusted choice for SME financing, with a culture of ‘doing the right thing’ at the core of LendingCrowd’s purpose. We actively encourage the generation and development of ideas from all team members to grow the business. We are currently working remotely but our plan is to return to hybrid working with premises in Edinburgh in the next 12 months – so you need to be based within a commute to Edinburgh.

Come join us and be part of our success story!
