Worlds Better is quite a new business, but our client base is growing significantly, and we are excited about 2023 and onwards. Our core objective for the business is centred around helping the events industry accelerate behaviour change to reduce the environmental impact that live events have on the environment.
About you
You’ll be passionate about the events industry and about sustainability! You care about the environment and want to help the events industry be sustainable. You'll be organised, proactive, confident liaising with clients and great at building and maintaining relationships with various stakeholders. You’re proactive and eager to get stuck in with different tasks.
Responsibilities
- Leading projects with some support and coaching (varying in size and deliverables) from start to finish including setting and driving timelines, leading project meetings, taking/writing up meeting notes, updating status reports and project plans.
- Account management and client servicing. Ensuring our client deliverables are met by coordinating the team and keeping projects on track.
- After training, you will assist in data collection, data entry, and data analysis to calculate the carbon and waste impact of events projects on behalf of our clients.
- You will support the team with training programmes - with support virtually or face to face (travel covered for attending face to face sessions).
- Researching sustainability news, sustainable suppliers, and event industry news.
Key skills
- Some experience in the live events industry. Ideally in an delivery role, or education in this area.
- Experience managing your own projects.
- Passion for sustainability (although no formal qualification required).
- Knowledge of, or willingness to learn about ISO 14001 and ISO 20121.
- Experience using in Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
Applicants must be UK based - ideally in South England. This is a freelance opportunity 3 days a week, ideally with our Founder from our office in Brighton at least once every fortnight.
