Job description
The post holder is responsible for the management and successful delivery of IT Service projects within the programme portfolio to the required quality and standard. The Junior Project Manager will actively assist the management of the full project life cycle with a significant focus on change management and service modernisation. The post requires close working with suppliers, clinicians, health professionals and patient forums to ensure anticipated benefits that IT enabling solutions can bring are fully realised. Management of projects as required within time, cost and quality parameters.
Be a key member of the project team. Contribute towards the delivery of the IT Services Programme/Project portfolio and co-ordinate project inter-dependencies. To ensure the timely and accurate production of programme status reports for managed projects To assist in the development and delivery of a portfolio of work comprising of projects, technical requests and feasibility studies. The position will involve a considerable amount of interaction with colleagues, business groups, IT and external vendors.
To make a contribution to the ongoing development of the Trusts IT Change Framework (structure, processes and controls) Assist in promoting the value of the Change Framework within the change community, and driving improvements based on experience gathered from business partners. Maturing those disciplines across the organisation ensuring deliverance of a professional, high quality service. Assist in the development of the Trust Wide Programme Management Operating Plan, maintaining alignment to NHS direction and policy. Managing effective interfaces in order to maintain an end-to-end view of programme priorities and direction.
Feeds into and updates a register of portfolio risks and issues, including mitigation plans. Ensuring that these are escalated and acted upon effectively. Experience of managing stakeholders.
