Assurance Officer Birmingham A unique opportunity has arisen for an Assurance Officer to join a specialist Data Protection Team that directly influences cutting-edge policies to improving the police complaints system in England and Wales. This will be in the organisation’s Birmingham office, on a highly flexible agile working schedule.
About the role
This role will give the successful Assurance Officer the opportunity to work on a varied and interesting workload, in their Birmingham office. This includes:
- Attend local team meetings to share updates provided by the wider Data Protection Team;
- Provide support to the Information Asset Owners in relation to their quarterly assurance reporting obligations by supporting with information gathering;
- Liaising with the relevant business areas to identify when a Data Protection Impact Assessment (DPIA) might be needed.
About you
The ideal Assurance Officer will ideally have:
- The ability to work under pressure and prioritise tasks, working to strict and conflicting deadlines;
- Experience in data protection or information management;
- Experience of liaising with representatives from external agencies.
You must be able to commute to their Birmingham office on a hybrid basis.
