Job description

We are delighted to announce an exciting opportunity for a locum clinical embryologist in the renowned Department of Reproductive Medicine, Old St Mary’s Hospital, Manchester. Our programme treats NHS and fee paying patients and currently performs 800 cycles of IVF/ICSI and 400 cycles of frozen embryo replacements annually.

The successful applicant will work in a team of twelve clinical embryologists and will be joining a group based at Old St Mary’s and also the University of Manchester, with a strong interest in research and service development. Current areas of active research include embryo culture and selection, blastocyst formation and surgical sperm retrieval service.

The candidate ideally will have gained band 7 essential requirements of State Registration and be an ICSI practitioner. Candidates with evidence of working towards state registration and becoming an ICSI practitioner will be banded as 6 and up graded to band 7 on completion of both essential requirements.
