Role: Junior Project Manager

Description: The person responsible for managing a project. The Junior Project Manager is the ultimate person responsible for the project’s success, for conducting and motivating the team developing it, and for achieving every objective. There is no requirement for the Junior Project Manager to be involved in the project’s technical guidance, this can be delegated to the Site Manager. The Junior Project Manager works together with the Engineering Manager and the Business Development Manager to interact with the client in all business matters.

Reports to: Engineering Manager

Responsibilities/Authorities:

  • Conduct the performance evaluation of their teams.
  • Approve and reject work hours of their teams.
  • To authorise or suspend the project's work execution for safety reasons.
  • To request the logistic services necessary to execute the project (e.g. transport, accommodation) as well as to issue the corresponding PO.
  • To approve the reimbursement of project-related staff expenses.
  • To approve the employee hour records (e.g. times, descriptions, etc.), before sending them to the client.
  • Perform billing of projects according to contracts and customer requirements.
  • Sending invoices to clients and ensuring that they are accepted in their internal approval circuits within the established payment deadlines.
  • Provide technical and organisational direction for the development of the project from the definition phase, through the implementation and guaranteeing its successfulcompletion, e.g., ensuring the execution of the project meeting deadlines ("on time"), the scope of work to be performed ("on scope"), high-quality standards ("on quality") and budgets of costs and income ("on a budget").
  • To manage the interaction with the client and the expectations in relation to the project’s execution and result, developing long-lasting relationships to establish a continued cooperation.
  • To perform regular meetings effectively with clients and the team
  • To prepare and update the project plan and coordinate the teams’ work together with the Site Manager and the Planning Manager.
  • To monitor and assess the progress and state of ongoing work together with the Site Manager and the remaining project team staff.
  • To guarantee allocation of tasks to the proper resources.
  • To ensure compliance with the project’s planned budget.
  • To verify and validate the work performed by the teams.
  • To organise the project teams’ mobility needs together with the Logistics and Mobility and Human Resources departments.
  • To communicate the project’s difficulties and contingencies to the Engineering Manager.
  • To keep the project teams informed on any changes within the organisation and on general corporate news.
  • To suggest internal process improvement together with possible solutions.
  • To manage the team’s development, ensuring that project tasks are in accordance with each employee’s career interests whenever possible.
  • To motivate work colleagues to achieve their goals and seek excellency.
  • To identify improvement opportunities and provide constructive suggestions for change.
  • To search for information about the risks to which the project team is exposed in each task and ensure that this information on occupational health and safety is shared with the whole team, and that the team complies with safety instructions provided by Endiprev, its clients or other legal or normative requirements.
  • To comply with safety rules and procedures established by Endiprev and/or by clients.
  • Cooperate, whenever requested by the Manager, with people from related departments of the Group's companies.

Minimum requirements

  • 1 year of experience at the company or 1 year of experience in similar function.
  • Able to work from the company’s office in Sunderland, England.
  • Work efficiently as part of a growing team.
  • Able to prioritise workloads and focus on customer needs/requirements.
  • Understanding of the UK Wind Energy market.

Job Types: Permanent, Full-time
