Job description
This role offers an excellent opportunity to a candidate who can demonstrate their desire and enthusiasm for project management. You will have excellent communication skills, be confident using MS Excel and other software packages and be numerate as you estimate jobs and tendering for new business.
Some duties will include:
- Carrying out initial client meetings alongside the senior project manager to spec out and estimate jobs
- Completing tenders for larger commercial jobs
- Reading technical drawings to establish job requirements and liaising with suppliers to get quotes
- Looking into margins to ensure all works are profitable when quoting/tendering
- Overseeing ongoing projects, carrying out weekly site visits to monitor progress against a deadline
- Carry out weekly meetings, alongside the senior project manager, with clients to update them on the progress of projects
- Completion of all project-associated admin (purchasing, WIP reports, ensuring all H&S documentation is in place)
- Ad-hoc support to management and senior project managers
Given the nature of the role travel is required to client sites, so a driving licence is needed as well as access to your own vehicle. Mileage will be covered for all travel outside of the Harrogate office.
In return, this role offers a salary of between £24k and £26k depending on experience and the ability to learn from an experienced team within excellent offices.
