Wood is recruiting for a Junior Project Engineer to join our team in Staines on a 12 month fixed term contract. This role would suit a recent graduate.
You will be required to help support delivery of engineering excellence in assigned projects through coordinating and delivering the engineering for an assigned project scope to schedule and in accordance with applicable procedures, specifications and standards. You will be required to:
- Coordinates a series of activities performed by engineers and designers to support the timely issuing of engineering deliverables to meet project specifications.
- Develop an understanding of Health, Safety, Environment and Security (HSES) standards, procedures, work practices and literature.
- Alert more senior project engineering personnel in the event of potential delays or change; support implementation of approved changes.
- Coordinate discipline input to deliverables including Process / Utility Flow Diagrams, Engineering Flow Diagrams; and Line Lists, Equipment Lists, Special Piping Item Lists and Requisition Index.
- Develop a basic knowledge of engineering standards and procedures; participate in key events gaining practical experience and to follow up on actions.
- Plan individual work activities and manage time; liaise with disciplines to ensure timely receipt of comments.
- Follow and deliver against the project engineering manhour budget and schedule.
- Report on progress issues to facilitate resolution.
- Daily interaction with Wood engineering resources.
- Maintain effective communication with all relevant parties including Client, Engineering Discipline Management, Partners and Project Team to facilitate resolution of areas of concern, lessons learnt and continuous improvement strategies for assigned project scope.

- Bachelor’s degree or Masters in an engineering discipline.
