Job description

As a Junior Production Manager you will be responsible for the technical realisation and coordination of Live, Virtual and Hybrid Events. Working with the Production teams to achieve the best technical solution for projects, as well as ensuring all activities are carried out under best practice guidelines. You will work collaboratively across several key disciplines, clearly articulating the brief and involvement required and actively respond to assigned demands/priorities, all while ensuring each activity is delivered in accordance with expectations. A part of the role will be to review the event brief and translate into a workable solution which offers clear and concise production specification

Our office is based in Manchester, however we will provide the opportunity to work flexibly between the office and from home.

Key Responsibilities



  • Ensure any client and supplier dealings are exercised with the utmost diligence and always with the Agency and client in mind
  • Support the Senior Production Manager with the creation of production budgets to ensure funds are utilised appropriately
  • Consider, research, evaluate and develop the event specification from a technical perspective, including but not limited to lighting, sound, AV, IT and construction
  • Work with technical suppliers to ensure quality products/services are delivered and all events are specified correctly, to a high standard whilst also being delivered on time and within budget.
  • Assist in the creation and distribution of action plans to aid project management, including but not limited to timelines, build schedules, show running orders, contact sheets, and crew packs
  • Provide timely and accurate responses to client requests. Be aware of any changes in requirements and make updates accordingly
  • Support in the creation of the production execution plan. Including all administration necessities and deliver projects in a safe and controlled manner
  • Actively follow all sign off procedures
  • Ensure Live Events quality and sustainability procedures are followed on each project and ensure appropriate records are maintained
  • Effectively manage all equipment and event accessories, including Health and Safety and the provision of invoice information to the finance team
  • Ensure compliance with our commitment to delivering the highest quality in all our events, exceeding customer expectation, continually improving and innovating our service so that we deliver our sustainability commitment.
  • Provide hands on production management support to virtual/live projects and pitches where necessary.
  • Maintain up to date technical knowledge and expertise around delivery techniques/equipment
  • Always reflect the agency's values and culture

  • CAD skills preferred but not essential.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills both face to face and by phone, with high professionalism
  • Ability to build rapport with technical suppliers
  • Good customer service ethic and high expectations of quality.
  • Understanding of the Events industry and the media/facilities available to us
  • Good knowledge of the key disciplines of live production
  • Good working knowledge of Virtual meeting platforms/tools and technologies (Zoom & MS Teams in particular)
  • Commercially aware with good negotiation skills
  • Ability to multi-task and manage own time (with support from the operations team), work under pressure and remain calm in a fast-paced environment.

Core Tasks



  • Support of on-site and virtual production delivery
  • Support in the creation and maintenance of project plans and schedules, acting appropriately should the requirements change
  • Create and deliver the relevant crew documents and ensure accountability and understanding
  • Always keep clients and internal teams abreast of project status.
  • Work with relevant personnel on accommodation, travel and catering requirements
  • Brief crew and suppliers and update requirements throughout delivery process
  • Create and manage technical budgets
  • Accurately upload and update all project costing data
  • Monitor budgets and flag anomalies accordingly
