We’re growing 5x year on year, and have no plans to slow down until flight-free travel is mainstream.
We're looking for a Junior Product Analyst to join our team and work closely with the Head of Product to shape and realise Byway's product vision for the first flight-free holidays platform. In this role, you'll be responsible for managing our Product analytics, supporting our sprint and backlog management, and performing end user testing. You'll use data to inform product decisions and prioritisation, help manage and optimise our product development process, and work closely with our tech team to optimise the delivery and perform end user testing.
Your key responsibilities
- Manage the Product Backlog, collaborating with cross-functional teams (e.g. marketing, sales, delivery) to translate business requirements into user stories, scoping tickets, triaging and adding to sprints and/or the product roadmap
- Manage the sprint planning and delivery process including helping the tech team to plan their work, removing blockers, tracking progress and reporting on performance
- Manage functionality and user testing, conducting technical tests yourself, including cross device, and supporting business owners to test their features
- Build, manage and develop our Product data analytics, including KPIs for existing and new projects/features and self-serve reporting tools for the business, and share regular reports with the wider business to inform decision making
- Manage error reporting and identify and execute actions to bring down errors, including allocating bug fixes and opportunities for improvement to the right people
- Use data to develop the product, run experiments including AB tests to validate hypothesis and put in place a continuous data discovery loop process
What we’re looking for
- A year or two of prior experience in a product role including sprint and backlog management
- Data analysis experience, including Google Analytics and Excel/Sheets
- Excellent analytical and technical skills, experience working with large datasets and good statistical knowledge including of significance testing and sample sizes
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical talks to other areas of the business, and business needs into tech requirements
- Superb project and time management skills to ensure things are done to schedule
- A good eye for detail so that user testing is accurate and rigorous
- A start-up mentality: curious, adaptable and willing to jump in wherever needed
What would be great (but isn’t required)
- Experience working in an Agile environment
- Experience in a high growth startup and/or travel
- Familiarity with BI tools like Looker or Tableau
