The team
ITV Sport produces some of the biggest sporting events on the calendar such as FIFA World Cup, UEFA European Championship, Rugby World Cup, Six Nations Championship, England Football Internationals, Snooker, Darts, Motor Sport and the best of UK Horse Racing, including The Grand National, Cheltenham Festival and The Derby.
This role entails
In this post, you will learn the skills necessary to become a full Producer at ITV Sport. You will be responsible for creating material for high-profile ITV Sport output, such as major football and rugby events, the FA Cup, the Six Nations Championship, and all major UK horse racing festivals. You'll soon develop confidence and the ability to create unique VT sequences, match edits, analysis packages, and features.
The role of Junior Producer is critical to our team, as they play a key role in creating engaging and visually compelling content that will keep our viewers engaged.
Key responsibilities…
- Working on VT on live shows
- Assisting on Outside Broadcasts
- Supporting Programme Editors, Directors & Senior Producers
- Liaising with on screen talent for analysis packages
- Generating ideas and suggestions for content
- Carrying out research on behalf of Producers and Editors
- Creating digital content for ITV Sport
To be considered for this opportunity you will need to demonstrate the following skills:
Minimum role criteria:
- Some experience of working in a live broadcast setting, preferably Sport
- Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Experience of editing content
- Experience of filming content.

- Strong interest and knowledge of sports including Football, Rugby Union and Horse Racing in particular
- A self-starter, with strong organisational skills and eagerness to learn
- Ability to remain calm under pressure
- A keen interest in developing story ideas and content suggestions
